Road Closures and Changes

From time to time road works and/or large projects require the partial or complete closure of roads within the Alpine Shire.

Road Closures

Visit VicRoads for all up-to-date road closures. Emergencies can quickly result in the closure of roads - before you travel, ensure your route is clear.

Use multiple sources to stay informed

Dargo High Plains Road

The Dargo High Plains Road will re-open from 12 pm Friday, 3 November 2023.

As a direct result of the recent road, drainage, and security upgrades, the road has an earlier-than-usual planned reopening. Minor roadworks will continue to take place until Friday, 17 November.
We ask that all travelers adhere to traffic management and drive to road conditions.
