Alpine Shire Council is seeking separate Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the lease of a commercial space at 5 Elm Court, Bright, and a licence for land located between Frasers Lane and Canyon Walk, Bright.

In accordance with Council’s Community Engagement Policy, Council is seeking separate expressions of interest for the lease of a commercial space at 5 Elm Court, Bright, and the licence of land located between Frasers Lane and Canyon Walk, Bright. 

Site inspections will be held for interested parties with details provided upon registration. To register, please email Property and Contracts Coordinator, Sascha Russell, at info@alpineshire.vic.gov.au.  

All submissions must be received by close of business on Friday, 31 October 2025 to be eligible for consideration. 

5 Elm Court, Bright 

Council's current lease for a commercial space at 5 Elm Court, Bright, will expire in April 2026.  

This space is currently occupied and trading as Freestyle Dance School. 

The land is zoned General Residential Zone and the lease will be subject to relevant permits being obtained. In addition to outgoings, all submissions should include a proposed annual rent (excluding GST).   

The rent will be subject to annual Consumer Price Index reviews with exception to the commencement of a further term when a market review may be undertaken. A maximum letting period is set at 5+5 years.  

Shorter lease terms will be considered and should be detailed in the submission, with lease commencement date expected in April 2026.

Frasers Lane and Canyon Walk, Bright 

Council's current licence for land located between Frasers Lane and Canyon Walk, Bright, will expire at the end of February 2026.  

The parcel of land is approximately 3.5ha of Crown land and prominently located at the entrance to Bright on the Great Alpine Road, behind the Bright Sports Centre.  

The land is zoned Public Park and Recreation Zone, and is currently licensed for grazing, which is the preferred use for this site. 

All submissions should include a proposed annual rent (excluding GST). The rent will be subject to annual Consumer Price Index reviews. A maximum letting period is set at 2+2 years. 

Shorter lease terms will be considered and should be detailed in the submission, with licence commencement date from 1 March 2026.
