Community Vision
Our Community Vision outlines how our communities see Alpine Shire for the future and is incorporated into our Council Plan 2025-2029 document. While it is aspirational, its key directions feed into our Council Plan 2025-2029, which provides the means of delivering our Vision.
Our Vision connects our diverse and vibrant communities, spread through the valleys and mountains of Alpine Shire. Our unique and spectacular landscape and natural environment inspires us and provides a shared sense of identity and purpose for our future.

Council Plan 2025-2029
Our Alpine Shire Council Plan 2025-2029 contains our Community Vision and our Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029.
We worked closely with our communities through broad and deliberative engagement to develop our Community Vision and Council Plan 2025-2029. As part of this process, we welcomed the formation of the Alpine Shire Community Panel, whose members have contributed significant time, knowledge, and creativity in developing these critical documents.
Our Council Plan 2025-2029 and our incorporated Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029 are reviewed annually to ensure they remain relevant over the four years.
Our Council Plan 2025-2029 is supported by our Annual Budget, which provides the detail and annual activities that contribute to achieving the objectives contained within our Plan. Our Annual Report provides an end-of-year report on progress against our Plan.
Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029
Our Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029 aligns with the actions in the Victorian Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2023-2027 and has been informed by engagement with our communities, local health services, and community organisations. We recognise that there are a wide range of health and wellbeing-related challenges in our communities and we are committed to working in partnership across the health and community sector to help address these challenges.
Health and wellbeing is central to a wide range of services that we deliver, from maintaining our parks, playgrounds, and facilities, to youth engagement, climate change resilience, and ensuring equitable access to services and facilities for all of our communities. Throughout our Council Plan 2025-2029, actions that contribute to our Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029 are identified with a red heart symbol.
Action Plan 2025-2029
We developed our Action Plan 2025-2029 to promote transparency and accountability while mapping out key actions to deliver our Council Plan 2025-2029.
Our Action Plan 2025-2029 highlights what we will be working on over the next four years, the steps required to get there, and what success looks like. It will be reviewed annually to capture contemporary priorities.
