At last night's Ordinary Council Meeting, Alpine Shire Council proudly awarded funding to 24 community groups and organisations through their annual Community Grant Program.
With a broad range of applications from across Alpine Shire, the assessment panel prioritised the degree of benefit to the community and the degree to which projects can be maintained and are sustainable, as well as the impact on built, economic, environmental, recreational, social, and wellbeing criteria.
Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, congratulated the 24 recipients of the 2025/26 Community Grant Program.
"It is always rewarding to see the range of applications come in for our annual Community Grant Program and I look forward to seeing the projects rolling out to help support our community wellbeing," she said.
"This exciting opportunity showcases the varying ways that people in our community work together to create safe, sustainable, and inclusive spaces for themselves and for others."
The 24 recipients received a share of over $99,000, with 13 applicants receiving the full amount requested and 11 receiving a partial amount.
