Alpine Shire Council is now seeking community feedback on the draft Revenue and Rating Plan 2025.
This comprehensive plan outlines the framework for generating the necessary revenue to support the implementation of the Council Plan and Budget over the next four years.
Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, emphasised the importance of community involvement in shaping the final plan.
"We value the input of our residents and stakeholders," she said.
"Your feedback is crucial in ensuring that our Revenue and Rating Plan reflects the needs and priorities of our community."
The draft plan includes minor changes, such as the inclusion of Dinner Plain in the commercial/industrial differential rate and the addition of the State Government's Emergency Services and Volunteers Fund.
The plan also details the assumptions, policies, and decisions related to both rate and non-rate revenue, property valuation processes, and differential rating strategies.
We invite you to review the draft plan and share your thoughts online at: Revenue and Rating Plan 2025 | Engage Alpine
Printed copies of the draft Plan can also be viewed at Council's Customer Service Centre in Bright, and at our local libraries.
Submissions close at 5pm on Tuesday, 27 May 2025.
The final plan will be considered for adoption at the June 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting.
