Alpine Shire Council is excited to announce the introduction of a new fee structure designed to reward regular users of Council facilities.
Rather than applying a single hire fee to all bookings, Council has introduced three distinct fee categories that better recognise and support regular users:
Casual: One-off or occasional bookings that will be charged at the standard fee.
Regular: Six or more consecutive bookings at one facility per quarter will receive a 20% discount on the hire fee.
Community: Eligible incorporated or not-for-profit organisations will receive a 30% discount on their hire fee, upon presentation of relevant documentation.
This structure ensures that people who hire facilities on a regular basis or who provide community-focused activities have access to fair and appropriate pricing that reflects their contributions to their communities.
Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, said that this new structure acknowledged and rewarded the vast number of groups and organisations who make use of Council facilities across the region.
"We're lucky to not only have a number of modern facilities available for hire, we also have an even bigger number of passionate and enthusiastic users who make the most of these spaces for the benefit of the community," she said.
"Users range from sporting clubs and community markets to creative workshops and dance groups, and it's terrific to be able to offer a discounted price that allows these groups to reach more people and put their money where it matters most for them."
Appropriate discounts will be applied manually while the website and booking system are updated.
Users are asked to continue booking through the website and contact Council if any issues arise by emailing info@alpineshire.vic.gov.au or calling (03) 5755 0555.

Please note that this fee structure only applies to facilities that are managed by Council and does not apply to facilities that are managed by community groups or organisations.
