Alpine Shire Libraries have partnered up with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing to help older people in our community access aged care information and resources.
12 August 2025
The initiative, running for four weeks at each of the three libraries – Mount Beauty, Bright, and Myrtleford – aims to provide a dedicated space for older Australians to learn about the latest developments and connect with resources.
The information hub will be operational at each location, offering support through:
- Access to a variety of printed materials explaining aged care options.
- Opportunities for conversations about the recent changes and how they impact individuals.
- Assistance in navigating and utilising the My Aged Care website and service.
- A chance for residents to share their thoughts and contribute to the ongoing dialogue around aged care.
To receive one-on-one assistance, residents are encouraged to contact their local library to book a time with a friendly team member during the dates below.
- Mount Beauty Library from 12 August to 5 September | (03) 5754 4305
- Bright Library from 8 September to 3 October | (03) 5755 1540
- Myrtleford Library from 6 October to 31 October | (03) 5751 1591
