Alpine Shire Council's Maternal and Child Health (MCH) team is partnering with CareFlight to offer local families free Infant Care Workshops this March.
The sessions aim to equip parents and carers with practical, potentially life‑saving first aid skills tailored to babies and young children.
Workshops will be led by CareFlight representative Dean Blackney, a Flight Nurse/Midwife and Community Educator with extensive experience in emergency care.
Participants will learn how to recognise signs of infant illness, when to seek help, and what steps to take in an emergency.
Two workshop sessions will be offered:
- Bright: Tuesday, 17 March, 1pm–3pm at the Bright Pavilion
- Mount Beauty: Saturday, 14 March, 9am–11am at the Mount Beauty Community Centre
The workshops are open to parents and carers of children aged 0–5 years.
There is no cost to attend these sessions. To register, please text your name along with which workshop you'd like to attend to our Maternal and Child Health team on 0417 147 120.
