40 event organisers received a share of $143,500, while three event organisers were supported with $15,500 of in-kind support.

Amongst other criteria, these events were chosen based on whether they have a positive impact for the community, how they contribute to a diverse events calendar, whether they encourage repeat visitation, and their sustainability over a long period of time.

Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, acknowledged that the applications represented a wide scope of events that both attract a large number of visitors and accommodate for local interests.

"We're fortunate to have so many groups and organisations who enjoy creating exciting experiences for people who live and visit our beautiful region," she said.

"It is terrific that we are able to support so many organisers to continue planning and delivering events that both prioritise our communities and showcase Alpine Shire to people more broadly."
