Small businesses across Alpine Shire are encouraged to grow their businesses alongside experienced mentors through the Alpine Shire Business Mentoring program.
The Alpine Shire Business Mentoring program is delivered by Community Business Connect specifically for small businesses across Alpine Shire.
Business owners will have the choice of six mentors across a range of capacities, including business planning, financial capability, marketing strategy, digital improvement, and operational review.
Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, said that this opportunity had the potential to elevate small businesses above their competitors with a focus on clear, achievable outcomes through one-on-one mentorship.
"One thing we know about Alpine Shire businesses is that they are resilient," she said.
"But a lesson we have learnt from some of the best leaders around the world is that every person can benefit from having a mentor."
Cr Nicholas said that the benefit of this program is that business owners can choose a mentor that meets their specific needs.
"Every business is on their own journey, with different areas they want to target for review and improvement," she said.
"The six mentors selected for this program are local to our region and therefore responsive to businesses operating out of northeast Victoria.
"Whether your business is right here in Alpine Shire or online to people across Victoria, Australia, or the world, these mentors can support you to plan for now and for the future."
