Community members are able to have their say on the draft CINA 2025 online by filling out a survey on Engage Alpine or by attending a drop-in session at libraries in Bright, Mount Beauty, and Myrtleford throughout November.

The draft CINA 2025 assesses the current infrastructure and future needs across the four Service Towns of Bright, Mount Beauty-Tawonga South, Myrtleford, and Porepunkah to identify what we need to invest in for the future.

The draft document presents opportunities that reflect both community aspirations and industry best practice.

These assessments were developed through a robust research practice reflecting how Alpine Shire facilities sit within state, regional, and local policies and strategies, as well as benchmarking against industry standards.

This research laid the foundation to corroborate with user groups and relevant stakeholders to ensure that the draft CINA 2025 also reflects current practices and future desires.

Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, emphasised that the draft CINA 2025 is not a commitment to immediate works.

"The draft CINA 2025 is a strategic document that outlines how we can use our existing Council-owned community infrastructure best, for the benefit of as many community members as possible" she said.

"We have a growing population and we will see growth in key demographics, such as children, young people, and seniors.

"We want to ensure that our children, grandchildren, and future communities across Alpine Shire have access to the spaces and f they require."

Community members can review the draft document and have their say by completing a survey online on Engage Alpine: https://engage.alpineshire.vic.gov.au/community-infrastructure-needs-assessment
