Together with Resilient Alpine Youth Squad (RAYS), Alpine Shire Council invites community members across Alpine Shire to explore new hobbies, make new connections, and enjoy a range of fun activities at a free community event in Bright.
Alpine Discovery Day encourages people of all ages to discover new activities, including ball sports, aero sport, martial arts, dragon boating, and more.
Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, celebrated the opportunity for community members to experience a range of activities in one environment.
"The beauty of living in a place like Alpine Shire is that our events often cater for people of all ages across multiple generations, and we have a wide range of activities for such a small Shire" she said.
"From trying out a new sport to speaking to someone about the first steps in your new career, there will be something for everyone in this safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment."
The inaugural Alpine Discovery Day will be held from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, 18 October 2025 at Pioneer Park Recreation Reserve in Bright.
Food and coffee vendors will be available onsite to contribute to a vibrant day of activities, connections, and community spirit.
This event is not ticketed and no registrations are required.
The Alpine Discovery Day event has been made possible with funding from the Victorian Government through Amplify. This is a drug, alcohol, smoke, and vape-free event.
