The Bright Rod Run is set to return this November, bringing vibrant energy and classic cars to the heart of Bright.
To ensure the safety of all attendees and the smooth running of the event, a number of traffic changes and road closures will be in place throughout the Bright CBD and surrounding areas.
CBD Traffic Management and Parking – Thursday, 6 to Monday, 10 November
From 7.00am on Thursday, 6 November to 7.00am Monday, 10 November, barriers will be installed at the following key intersections to manage traffic flow:
- Barnard Street at Camp Street intersection
- Wood Street at Anderson Street intersection
- Burke Street at Ireland Street roundabout (clock tower)
- Gavan Street roundabout
- No right turn from Gavan Street at Barnard Street intersection
- No right turn from Gavan Street at Anderson Street intersection
- No right turn from Gavan Street at Star Road intersection
- No right turn from Gavan Street to Camp Street Intersection
- Anderson Street, Ireland Street, Railway Avenue and Cobden Street
Access to the CBD is as follows:
- Vehicles may turn left into Anderson Street from Gavan Street roundabout and continue through to Ireland Street only before exiting left into Cobden Street
- Vehicles may turn left into Ireland Street roundabout from Railway Ave and continue through to Anderson Street only before exiting left into Gavan Street at the roundabout.
- Vehicles may turn left into Barnard Street and left into Camp Street
- No right turns or U-turns are permitted in the CBD - barriers will be in place to control the flow of traffic.
Parking time limits will apply, and no parking on median strips will be allowed.
CBD Road Closures
As advised by Victoria Police, the following full road closures in the Bright CBD will be in effect from:
- 9.00pm on Friday, 8 November to 7.00am on Saturday, 9 November
- 9.00pm on Saturday, 9 November to 7.00am on Sunday, 10 November
The V/Line bus stop on Anderson Street will be temporarily relocated to Gavan Street opposite Woolworths for the duration of the event.
Pioneer Park Precinct – Sunday, 10 November
To support event activities at Pioneer Park, the following roads will be closed from 6.00am to 2.00pm on Sunday, 10 November:
- Cobden Street at Pioneer Lane
- Hawthorn Lane at Coronation Avenue
- Pioneer Lane at Coronation Avenue
Important Reminders
- No alcohol consumption is permitted in the Bright CBD during the event.
- Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. This is a family-friendly event.
- Vehicles must not be moved after road closures are in place, as this may delay or prevent the event from proceeding.
