Alpine Shire Council invites families and friends to kick start their summer with Party in the Park on Saturday, 13 December 2025 at Howitt Park in Bright.
Generously funded by the State of Victoria through Emergency Recovery Victoria's Community Recovery Hubs program and the Australian Government, community members across Alpine Shire are invited to come to Howitt Park in Bright for a free, fun-filled event.
Featuring the globally-recognised Melbourne Ska Orchestra and locally-grown DJ Eddy alongside a line-up of standout artists, Party in the Park will also offer food vans and face painting for the young and young at heart.
Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Gareth Graham, said that Council had been very fortunate to receive state and federal recovery funding over the past five years in response to multiple emergency events.
"It is agreed amongst disaster experts that social connection is one of the most important parts of the recovery process," he said.
"Community events such as Party in the Park provides a safe space for our communities to come together with their families and friends to connect and continue to build resilience."
Party in the Park will take place from early afternoon to early evening on Saturday, 13 December 2025 at Howitt Park in Bright.
This free event is fully funded by the State of Victoria through Emergency Recovery Victoria's Community Recovery Hubs grant program and the Australian Government in response to the October 2022 Flood and Landslip.
