Residents and visitors are invited to come together across the Alpine Shire this Australia Day for a series of free community events.
Events will be held in Myrtleford, Bright, Mount Beauty, Harrietville and Mudgegonga on Monday, 26 January 2026.
Each event will feature a community-hosted breakfast or morning tea, live local entertainment and the official presentation of the Alpine Shire Community Awards.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs or picnic rugs (excluding Mudgegonga). A gold coin donation is appreciated for breakfast or morning tea where offered.
Alpine Shire Council would like to thank the many community groups who organise and support these events each year - their dedication and contribution are invaluable.
