The annual Alpine Shire Youth Awards will return to Mount Beauty on Friday, 16 October 2026 for the 26th celebration of young people across Alpine Shire.
Held once a year, the Awards take place in Bright, Mount Beauty, and Myrtleford, and rotate through each town once every three years.
The 2026 Awards will be held at the Mount Beauty Community Centre from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and will feature a presentation ceremony for each award, as well as live entertainment and light refreshments.
The theme for 2026 is Out of This World, with Council encouraging attendees to dress for the theme by sparkling with a little stardust or taking their outfit to infinity and beyond.
Award recipients were chosen by a panel made up of Councillors, Council staff, and community representatives based on nominations received from the community throughout 2026.
Community members were invited to nominate young people across nine award categories ranging from academic achievement to sport and recreation to visual arts and media.
The Awards are open for public attendance and free for community members to attend, with tickets available to reserve online.
Tickets must be reserved, either online by visiting https://events.humanitix.com/2026-alpine-shire-council-youth-awards, or over the phone by ringing Council on (03) 5755 0555.
