Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Charlie is responsible for leading and managing the organisation to ensure implementation of the goals and strategies endorsed by Council.

He also manages the Executive department, which is responsible for human resources and communication.

Charlie was appointed to the role of CEO in August 2017, after joining Council in February 2015. Charlie is an environmental engineer with a diverse background. 

He has been a truck driver, farmer, run his own business, led a car-sharing operation and has 20 years’ experience in water, local government and natural resource management in both public and private sectors. 

Charlie enjoys delivering outcomes for the community and feels very fortunate to work in such an incredible part of the world.

Director Assets Will Jeremy

Will Jeremy

Director Assets

As Director Assets, Will manages Council’s Asset Development, Asset Maintenance and Economic and Community Development departments.

Services include capital works, asset maintenance, parks and gardens, trees, environment, economic development, events, emergency management and community development.

Will has a Masters Degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford in the UK, and is a Chartered Professional Engineer and member of Engineers Australia.

Will worked for 16 years as a project manager in the oil and gas industry, initially for Shell and more recently for Woodside Energy. He joined Alpine Shire Council in early 2016.

Will enjoys making a difference for members of the community.

Director Corporate Nathalie Cooke

Nathalie Cooke

Director Corporate

As Director Corporate, Nathalie manages Council's Corporate, Planning, Building and Amenity, and Facilities departments. 

Services include customer service, libraries, rates, financial and risk management, governance, waste management, statutory and strategic land use planning, building, public and environmental health, local laws, waste management, recreation facilities and visitor information centres.

Nathalie holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland and Master of Management from Monash University.

Nathalie has a varied background in both the public and private sector, and has 15 years senior experience in state owned corporations in customer service; human resources and industrial relations management.  She joined Alpine Shire Council in early 2017.

Nathalie enjoys leading a team who strive to make a difference to the services, facilities and customer outcomes of their community.
