Will Jeremy

Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Will is responsible for leading and managing the organisation to ensure implementation of the goals and strategies endorsed by Council.

Will has a Masters Degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford in the UK, and is a Chartered Professional Engineer and member of Engineers Australia.

Will worked for 16 years as a project manager in the oil and gas industry, initially for Shell and more recently for Woodside Energy. He joined Alpine Shire Council in early 2016 as Manager Asset Delivery, before stepping into the role of Director Assets in 2017.

Helen Havercroft

Director Corporate Performance

As Director Corporate Performance, Helen manages the Facilities, Technology and Transformation, Planning and Amenity and Corporate departments, with services including Customer Service, Planning and Building, Environmental Health and Local Laws.

Helen has a joint honours degree in Geography and Archaeology from Nottingham University. While an interesting area to study, Helen eventually pursued a career in the UK with Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, here she worked across a range of corporate tax compliance roles for over 10 years.

Helen moved to a role with the Local Council where she lived in the UK, then lead the administration of a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic.

Bringing this broad range of skills and experience to the Alpine Shire, along with her husband and young family Helen is looking forward to serving the community in which she lives.

Elaine Burridge

Acting Director Assets

As Acting Manger Assets, Elaine manages Council’s Asset Development, Asset Maintenance and Economic and Community Development departments.

Elaine has worked in the tourism industry for over 25 years, commencing when she made the move to Victoria from Adelaide to work with Mount Hotham Skiing Company. Elaine was then General Manager at Otway Fly Treetop Adventure, where she moved the attraction from being a treetop forest walk experience to an adventure activity hub which included building Victoria’s first zipline adventure.

Elaine commenced with Council in 2013 as Dinner Plain Coordinator, managing all Council services and delivery of capital projects including snowmaking on the ski slope and early MTB trail delivery. She moved into the Manager Economic and Community Development role in 2015 and has been responsible for delivery of economic development, destination marketing, events and community development services and programs ever since.
