Still time to have your say on community recovery

UPDATE: Feedback now extended to Saturday, 14 November 2020.

WHAT does your community need to support it to recover from, prepare for and respond to emergencies?

The Alpine Community Recovery Committee (CRC) wants to hear from all members of Alpine Shire townships and local Alpine resorts to learn more about the challenges, opportunities and needs in recovery of community moving forward.

CRC Chair Fiona Nicholls said the committee launched a region-wide survey in late September, and there is still time for community members to have their say.

“We have had a great response to the survey so far, but it’s important that we capture as much feedback from as many community members as possible,” she said.

“Your feedback will help identify recovery opportunities as well as guide planning for community readiness and resilience in the face of future emergencies.”

The findings from the survey will be shared with the community and used to guide future planning to support community resilience and recovery into the future.

“It’s essential that we gain a strong understanding of the needs, challenges and opportunities within each community, to ensure we can best support and empower them into the future,” Ms Nicholls said.

The CRC survey closes on Sunday, 1 November.
