Have your say on the future direction of the Alpine Shire

Council is embarking on an exciting strategic planning project that will outline the strategic direction and priorities for the next 10 years.

11 March 2021

Throughout this project Council will develop a:

  • Community Vision
  • Council Plan incorporating the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan
  • Financial Plan
  • Asset Plan
  • Long Term Financial Plan

Over the next three weeks we are encouraging all residents of the Alpine Shire to participate in the first phase of engagement and share their aspirations, insights and ideas for our Community Vision and Council Plan incorporating the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.

Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr John Forsyth encourages all members of the community to have there say and ensure their voice is heard.

“This project will identify the priorities of our communities, and build the path to the future of the Alpine Shire”.

“Our communities are passionate, and this consultation period seeks to recognise their aspirations, loves, insights and ideas that Council need to focus on now and in to the future,” he said.

Community feedback will also inform other important projects that are being undertaken like Council’s Land Development Strategy and Planning Scheme Review.

The consultation period will be open from Thursday, 11 March 2021 and will close on Thursday, 1 April 2021.

If you are interested in joining the panel Council will be calling for expressions of interest and sending out a random selection of invitations to Alpine Shire residents in the coming weeks.
