Alpine Shire Community Grants

Applications for the 2020/2021 Alpine Shire Community Grants are now OPEN. Applications close 10pm Sunday, 28 June 2020.

Community groups and organisations provide vital services and support to Alpine Shire residents. Council is committed to supporting these valuable activities.

The grants cover:

  1. Community events
  2. Community projects for capital improvements
  3. Non capital community projects and
  4. Youth Projects

Clean Up Australia Day Grants

Held annually every March, this iconic national event encourages groups, organisations, businesses and schools to don the gloves and spend a little time cleaning up their local area.

Local not-for-profit community groups, organisations, youth projects and schools can benefit from a grant of up to $200 this Clean Up Australia Day.

We have allocated funds from the 2019/20 Community Grants Program for Clean Up Australia projects to ensure our community can take part in this important initiative.

Council’s grant could support groups to purchase additional clean up kits, pay disposal fees for rubbish collected, or provide a BBQ at a clean-up event.

Applications are through the Smarty Grants system and close on 27 January, 2020.

Bendigo Bank 

Bright Community Bank Branch and the Mount Beauty & District Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank offers various forms of sponsorship and donations to community and sporting clubs, schools and groups in the local area.

Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal

The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal’s (FRRR) operate a number of grants programs to benefit Australia’s rural, regional and remote communities.

Grants Victoria is a directory of Victorian Government grants and assistance applicable to individuals, businesses and communities.

Into Our Hands Foundation 

Into Our Hands Foundation was established after the Black Saturday bushfires of 2009. It is a community foundation that invests in projects and initiatives aimed at building the capacity, strength, cohesiveness and wellbeing of the many smaller communities within the Shires of Alpine, Indigo and Wangaratta. Special emphasis is given to projects and initiatives within the communities of Barwidgee Creek, Bruarong, Dederang, Gundowring, Kancoona, Mudgegonga, Murmungee, Rosewhite, Running Creek and Stanley.

Our Community 

Our Community provides advice, tools, resources and training in relation to fundraising and grants for not-for-profit organisations and schools as well as businesses and individuals

Sport and Recreation Victoria 

Sport and Recreation Victoria provide a range of grants and funding to support sport and recreation in Victoria from local community clubs through to the elite level.

WAW Credit Union 

WAW support groups within our community either via financial sponsorship agreements or through contributions of goods and services. Additionally, WAW support regional programs that deliver positive educational, medical or safety outcomes to the community.

Regional Development Victoria (RDV) is the Victorian Government’s lead agency in developing rural and regional Victoria. RDV’s focus is on investment attraction, job creation, exports, creating stronger economies, communities and infrastructure to create a strong and growing regional and rural Victoria.
