Dinner Plain Event Funding Program (Round #2)

Dinner Plain's Event Funding Program 2023-24 is now open and closes at 10 p.m. on Sunday, 29th October 2023.

If you wish to host an event Dinner Plain Event Funding Program (Round #2) between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024 you are encouraged to apply.

Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Alpine Shire Council Event Funding Program

Alpine Shire Council's annual Event Funding Program 2023-24 are now closed.

All applicants have now been advised of their success or otherwise. The next round of funding will open in May 2024 for the 2024-25 period.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There has been an important change to the way in which event funding is provided to successful applicants. The changes are detailed in the guidelines, and a summary is provided below.

Previously, funding was offered in two streams: sponsorship (cash) and logistics (in-kind). Starting with the 2023-24 Round, logistics will no longer be offered. Instead, funding will be provided as sponsorship only. This change means any Council services required by events, including waste management and amenity cleans, permit fees, and facility hire fees, will be on-charged to the event organiser. Council will not be providing any services as in-kind. Please consider how this change may impact your event and ensure the budget in your application reflects this. Please contact the Events Team if you require any assistance with calculating these costs for 2023-24.

Please also note that the assessment criteria for Event Funding applications has changed to align with Council's Events Strategy. Please ensure you are familiar with the changes to the funding criteria and permitting conditions for events held in the Alpine Shire.

Event Support

Alpine Shire Council offers event organisers access to an online series of videos exclusively for the benfit of event organisers who are planning to deliver an event within the Alpine Shire. This series is run by multi-tourism award winner, Krista Haurtiz.  Video conference sessions can be requested via the Events Team.
