WILL JEREMY

Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Will is responsible for leading and managing the organisation to ensure implementation of the goals and strategies endorsed by Council.

Will has a Masters Degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford in the UK, and is a Chartered Professional Engineer and member of Engineers Australia.

Will worked for 16 years as a project manager in the oil and gas industry, initially for Shell and more recently for Woodside Energy. He joined Alpine Shire Council in early 2016 as Manager Asset Delivery, before stepping into the role of Director Assets in 2017.

Will enjoys making a difference for the community.

SARAH BUCKLEY

Director Assets

As Director Assets, Sarah leads the Engineering and Maintenance, Assets and Waste, and Growth and Future teams.

Sarah joined Council in early 2021 as Sustainability Coordinator, bringing her passion for environmental stewardship to the role. Her leadership journey continued with her promotion to Manager Facilities in 2022, followed by Manager Engineering and Assets in 2023. On 1 July 2025, Sarah stepped into her current role as Director Assets.

With nearly 20 years of experience in local government, Sarah is known for building strong, collaborative teams that drive efficiency and innovation. Her strategic approach has helped streamline operations and enhance productivity across departments. She holds a Bachelor of Science – BS (Hons) from the University of Wollongong.

Sarah loves being part of her local community and is committed to shaping a sustainable future. She’s passionate about making a real difference to the lives of people in her community by delivering long-term asset solutions that meet the needs of today while adapting to the evolving demands of tomorrow.

NATHALIE COOKE

Director Corporate and Community

As Director Corporate and Community, Nathalie manages the Community Development, Corporate, Customer Experience, and Regulatory Services departments.

Nathalie has extensive experience at executive and senior management levels in local government and within state-owned corporations.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the University of Queensland and a Master’s Degree in Management from Monash University.

Nathalie moved to the Alpine Shire in 2017 and previously led the Corporate Directorate between 2017 and 2021. She loves being part of an organisation that interfaces with and supports the community she is a part of.
