How you'll make a difference:
- Be the friendly first point of contact for visitors, shaping memorable experiences and promoting the Alpine Shire as a must‑visit destination.
- Contribute to a vibrant, tidy and well‑presented Visitor Information Centre that reflects our community pride.
- Play a key role in day to day operations - respond to enquiries, process sales and maintain displays and visitor data.
- Be part of team that provides exceptional visitor services at the Visitor Information Centre in Mount Beauty.
- Support our wonderful volunteer Alpine Ambassadors at the Visitor Information Centres.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Is passionate about the Alpine region and enjoys sharing your recommendations and extensive knowledge with others.
- Has a genuine customer‑first mindset, with a courteous and professional approach to engaging with diverse visitors.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting volunteers, while also being confident working independently when required.
- Is adaptable and has flexibility to work across a 7-day roster.
- Experience as a volunteer, (Alpine Ambassador) or experience with Visitor Information services, is highly regarded
- Valid Driver Licence
- Cash handling experience and confident with EFTPOS transaction

- Casual position (Mount Beauty).
- Band 3 Alpine Shire Council Enterprise Agreement.
- Band 3A hourly rate: $42.18 per hour (including casual loading), plus superannuation.
