How you'll make a difference
You will work as a part of the Sustainability Team to minimise adverse impacts on the environment through the effective implementation of Council’s environmental sustainability initiatives, policies and plans, as well as the development and prioritisation of new priorities for the Sustainability Team as existing projects are completed and targets are met.
You are responsible for the delivery of a range of environmental sustainability projects, improving Council’s operational impacts on the environment and the management of monitoring and reporting frameworks. With a strong problem-solving mindset, you will be passionate about environmental outcomes and focused on providing excellent stakeholder engagement.

Our ideal candidate
A stand-out environmental sustainability professional with an in-depth understanding of sustainability, natural environment, and contemporary climate change mitigation and adaptation experience. You will have excellent communication and relationship skills, which will support a diverse team of industry professionals.
Your skills will include:
- Appropriate degree or diploma with some relevant experience, or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience
- Relevant environmental sustainability experience, with project management experience desirable
- Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare external correspondence.
