Drawing on your professional experience and excellent communication skills, you will work with applicants, objectors and residents to achieve exceptional outcomes through the planning approvals process and ensure that the requirements of the Alpine Planning Scheme, the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and other related legislation are met for all planning matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
With your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to work with your colleagues and staff to ensure positive outcomes. You can prioritise, meet deadlines, deliver detail-oriented work, and use technology and software solutions to optimise your workflows and output.
Additionally, you will have:
- An understanding of enforcement and prosecution procedures.
- The ability to drive strategic decision-making to improve business systems and processes.
- Coordinator/Team Leader experience and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
- A tertiary qualification in Town Planning or similar discipline.
- Relevant experience as a Town Planner.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge and ability to interpret Town Planning legislation and practices including associated legislation.
- The ability to provide effective specialist advice to other staff, Council, applicants, objectors and other members of the public.
- Excellent customer service skills to deliver better outcomes for our community.
- A valid Driver’s Licence.

- Band 8 Position. Salary range starts at: $116,156 per year + Super + Leave Loading
- Based in Bright, with the potential for 40% remote work, in line with organisational policy.
