Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to deliver building projects as part of a large building program. You will have project management experience, ideally within building and construction.
Responsibilities & how you will make a difference:
- End-to-end project management of a portfolio of projects.
- Project managing a range of Capital works projects across the Alpine Shire.
- Ensuring project milestones are met, and that delivery, performance and financial targets are achieved.
- Assisting in the establishment of relationships with diverse stakeholders to manage risks and resolve issues impacting project delivery, including managing sensitive negotiations.
- Overseeing and assessing designs and specifications submitted by consultants for compliance with relevant Acts, Regulations and Council policies.
- Oversee site inspections of works for compliance with approved designs and relevant standards.
- Deliver the scoping of asset renewal projects for delivery by either of Council’s Operations or Asset and Engineering teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Building and Construction and/or relevant experience.
- Project management experience in local government would be desirable.
- End-to-end project management experience in building and civil construction is highly desirable.
- Experience with contract administration.
- Experience dealing with planning permits.
- Strong written skills ability to write reports and prepare external correspondence.
- Demonstrated skills in managing diverse workloads to meet deadline and budget targets.
- Including exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Band 7A annual salary: $100,353, plus leave loading & superannuation.
