How you'll make a difference

With your positive and enthusiastic personality, you will bring out the best in your engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring that a high level of customer service satisfaction is achieved through the delivery of the development engineering service and the provision of engineering support.  

Leading a team of engineers, you will invest in their growth and development whilst delivering a responsive engineering service to both internal and external customers, identifying practical and cost-effective solutions, and applying innovation where appropriate. 

Your positive track record of delivering services and designated projects within budgets and in accordance with agreed and legislated timeframes will put you in good stead for securing this position.

You will have many qualities, in particular inspirational people leadership, experience across development engineering, general engineering, interpretation of relevant legislation and project budgeting, relationship skills, and a standout passion for service excellence. Your record of achieving outstanding results will speak for itself, and you will bring a set of skills that will be of great value to the Alpine Shire.

Your skills will include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Qualifications and experience in Civil Engineering will be highly regarded
  • Leadership experience in the public or private sector
  • Financial management skills
  • An energetic and engaging personality
