Development Officer (L2P)

How you'll make a difference

You will be part of our Community Development team, fostering professional working relationships with young people, volunteers and external stakeholders including but not limited to community groups, state government agency staff to deliver identified projects, programs and initiatives on behalf of Council and/or the community.  As part of our team you will:

  • Ensure the program is delivered in accordance with the funding requirements of the TAC L2P Program.
  • Recruit and onboard learner drivers into the program and provide ongoing support to learner drivers.
  • Recruit, register, train and support volunteer mentors to adequately service the program.
  • Engage with schools, community groups and the business community to improve opportunities and outcomes for young people and broader Alpine Shire communities.
  • Seek out funding opportunities as they arise.
  • Support the Community Development team in delivery of other initiatives.
  • Ensure all programs and initiatives delivered are safe and welcoming for young people.
