Myrtleford Flood Mitigation design project update

MYRTLEFORD residents wanting to learn more about the Myrtleford Flood Mitigation design project will be able to see the functional designs in May.

Consulting engineers Cardno are due to present the designs to Council at the end of April with a number of landholder information sessions being planned for May.

Alpine Shire Council has appointed consulting engineers Cardno to complete the functional and detailed design for flood mitigation measures originally identified in the Myrtleford Water Management Scheme.

The design project is due to be completed in June. The total value is $240,000, with $216,000 provided from State and Federal Governments and $24,000 from Alpine Shire Council, $16,600 of which has come direct from rates.
