Council launches Communication Survey

ALPINE Shire Council is calling for all residents to share their views on how Council can best communicate with them.

The 2012 Alpine Shire Council Communication Survey was launched last week, and residents are being urged to take the time to fill it out and have their voice heard.

Council’s Communication Officer Ebony D’Arcy said the survey was designed to identify existing community attitudes on how Council communicates with them.

“We want to know what methods of communication work for people and what needs improvement,” she said.

“This survey is the first step towards a targeted plan to improve communication by making sure our messages are heard and that we give the community the information they need, when they need it.”

The survey asks respondents to share their views on how Council currently communicates and offer suggestions for improvement.

“We have kept the survey as brief as possible but are urging people to take the time to fill in the answers thoroughly,” Ms D’Arcy said.

“The more information we get, the better we can establish where we need to focus our attention and resources in the future.”

The survey is available online at the links below, or by hard copy at Bright, Myrtleford and Mount Beauty libraries and at the front desk of the Council Offices, Bright.
