Range of activities on offer at Sports Centre

Rising visitation at the Bright Sports Centre could be boosted even higher by another new tenant.

Paul Nixon’s remedial massage service recently became the Bright Sports Centre’s newest addition, complimenting the broad range of activities already on offer.

His addition adds to Zinah Stone’s Thinkfit Australia business that has been operating out of the Bright Sports Centre for several months.

Manager Community Services Trevor Britten said the new tenants were having a positive impact on visitation.

“More people are enjoying the variety of options available at the Bright Sports Centre,” he said.

“There are activities for all ages. Council has increased the Bright Sports Centre’s opening hours and hope to announce plans for further improvements in the coming months. This includes amenity works that will improve the green credentials of the facility.”

Activities on offer at the Bright Sports Centre now include

  • Martial arts
  • Aqua aerobics
  • Learn to Swim program
  • Fitness Assessments
  • Dance programs
  • Thinkfit Australia – Zumba, Boxing, Power of 3 and Blitz, Butt, Core
  • Paul Nixon – Remedial massage, lymph drainage, lymphoedema, sports oncology

Yoga, Pilates and strength training classes are also expected to begin in the coming weeks.

“Both Zinah and Paul have operated in the local area for a number of years and have an established cliental,” Mr Britten said.

“Having these recreational and leisure businesses in the one building is a great result for the community. Council has received positive feedback since taking ownership of the Bright Sports Centre.
