| Alpine Planning Scheme Amendment C15 | | Implementing Residential Land Review Recommendations
Council has prepared Amendment C15 to the Alpine Planning Scheme.
The Amendment proposes to update the Municipal Strategic Statement to recognise the recommendations of the Alpine Shire Residential Land Review 2005. The structure plans for Bright, Mount Beauty/Tawonga South and Myrtleford are proposed to be updated to show, among other things, future urban growth areas, green buffers between towns, industrial land use buffers and potential environmental constraints to development.
The Amendment also makes a number of minor changes throughout the Municipal Strategic Statement. The majority of these changes are administrative in nature and include such matters as updating factual information including population statistics, references to government departments and agencies, renaming of plans and referencing other Council documents required to support the Alpine Shire Residential Land Review 2005.
The Amendment proposes to replace Clauses 21.01 to 21.03 inclusive and Clause 21.05 of the Municipal Strategic Statement. The Amendment does not involve any changes to zones or overlays in the Alpine Planning Scheme.
Any person affected by Amendment C15 may make a written submission under Section 21 of the Planning and Environment Act 1989. Submissions must be in writing, and will be received until close of business on Friday 14 August 2009, addressed to:
Manager Planning and Environment Alpine Shire Council PO Box 139 BRIGHT 3741
