| Preparation of the Alpine Shire Council Plan 2013-2017 | | In accordance with Section 125 of the Local Government Act 1989, Council has prepared the draft Alpine Shire Council Plan 2013-2017.
Submissions are now invited on the proposed Council Plan in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.
Any person making a submission may request that they or their representative is heard at a meeting of Councillors, in support of their submission. The request to be heard, and the names of the persons or representatives, must be clearly specified in the written submission. Council will notify those requesting to be heard of the day, time and place of the meeting.
Council will consider all written submissions prior to adoption of the Council Plan. Please note that all submissions remain available for public inspection for a period of 12 months.
Written submissions must be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer at the following address:

| Councillor and Mayoral Allowance Review | | Councillor and Mayoral Allowance Review
Notice is hereby given that at the Ordinary Council meeting on 2 April 2013, Council resolved:
Having reviewed the councillor and mayoral allowances in accordance with Section 74(1) of the Local Government Act 1989, it is intended to:
- Set the councillor allowance at $17,969 per annum in accordance with the Order in Council for a Category 1 Council; - Set the mayoral allowance at $53,684 per annum in accordance with the Order in Council for a Category 1 Council; - Increase the set allowances by any adjustment factor specified by the Minister for Local Government under Section 73B of the Local Government Act 1989; and - Pay the equivalent of the Superannuation Guarantee contribution (currently 9%) in addition to the set councillor and mayoral allowances as required by the Order in Council.

| Review of the Road Management Plan | | In accordance with Sections 301 and 302 of the Road Management (General) Regulations 2005, Council proposes to conduct a review of the Alpine Shire Council Road Management Plan.
The purpose of the review is to consider the management system that Council applies in the discharge of its duty to inspect, maintain and repair roads for which Council is the road authority.
The roads and classes of road to which the Road Management Plan applies are listed in the Alpine Shire Register of Municipal Public Roads.
Submissions are now invited on the Road Management Plan review, and will be considered in in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

| Positive Ageing Strategy 2013 - 2017 | | The draft Positive Ageing Strategy 2013 – 2017 has been jointly produced by a partnership between Alpine Shire Council and Alpine Health.
The strategy aims to encompass a whole of community approach to maximise the quality of life, participation and social recognition of older people living and visiting Alpine Shire.
The draft strategy is on public exhibition until Tuesday 8 April, and Council is encouraging all interested members of the community to submit comment on the document. These comments will inform the final strategy.
