Australian citizenship  Printer Friendly

Under the Australian Citizenship Act 2007, the Mayor of the Alpine Shire has been approved to conduct Australian citizenship ceremonies.

Alpine Shire Council holds citizenship ceremonies on Australia Day, 26 January, and through the year as required.

The Citizenship Act 2007 became effective in July 2007 and the Citizenship test from October 2007. Application forms for citizenship have therefore changed.

Applicants can go to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website for forms and more information or phone 131 880 to have forms mailed to them.
