| Mount Beauty/Tawonga South Framework Plan Committee | | Framework Committees are considered a productive method of capturing the general opinion of the community on township specific issues and opportunities.
A Framework committee has been established for Mount Beauty / Tawonga South comprised of 12 community members representing a broad range of age and interest groups.
The role of the Framework Committee is to: * Identify key issues impacting on the township * Provide input in to identifying options to address the agreed key issues * Provide feedback to the Alpine Shire on recommendations and priorities of the Township Framework Plan * Provide feedback to the community on the development and review of the Township Framework Plan.
The initial appointment of the Framework Committee is for a period of twelve months after which the success of the committee and Township Framework Plan process will be assessed.
The appointed Bright Framework Committee for 2008 / 09 is: Greg Lee, Maureen Chalmers, Barbara Pyle, Andy Mero, Jill Dawson, Kevin Cosgriff, Nick Cook, Helen Mathew, Greg Badior, Ian Howley, Mike Smith, and Jim Crebbin
The Alpine Shire will then determine if the term of appointment should be extended or if new committee members are required; the intent being to ensure the committee is productive and progressive.

| Mount Beauty Master Plan | | The Mount Beauty Master Plan is designed to help guide future development and identify important elements worthy of protection in Mount Beauty. This report is divided into two sections. Part 1 covers the background of the study, including the objectives, the methodology and an analysis of the urban and economic characteristics of Mount Beauty. Part 2 identifies the Proposals recommended by this study.
