Council has implemented the first stage of an adventure playground in Cundy Park, Myrtleford. The project is a partnership between the Myrtleford community, the Victorian government and the Alpine Shire. An adventure playground has been a long term goal for the Myrtleford community and recent consultation, planning and fund raising supports the realisation of this vision.

| Stage1 of the Cundy Park Adventure Playground has recently been completed and is proving to be popular for locals and visiting families. Stage 1 comprises a play complex primarily suited to the 6-12 year old age group. The adventure playground was achieved through the combined efforts of the Alpine Shire, the Myrtleford community and financial support from the Victorian State Government. An adventure Playground located in Cundy Park has been a long term goal of the Myrtleford community and the commitment and dedication of a number of key locals has been pivotal to its realisation. The Adventure Playground has been designed by Mary Jeavons Landscape Architects who has previously assisted the Alpine Shire with the design and realisation of the Dinner Plain and Bright adventure playgrounds.
The Myrtleford community with support from the Alpine Shire is now aiming to obtain support for the implementation of stages 2 and 3 which include a toddler’s area and an upper body circuit area. Implementation of these stages will complete the entire Adventure Playground.
