| Silage wrap | | A new silage wrap recycling program has been introduced throughout the north east of Victoria.
It is illegal to burn plastic. Burying or putting in landfill is wasting a scarce resource and detrimental to the environment.
Farmers can use this free new system to transport their silage wrap to one of Alpine Shires waste facilities in either Porepunkah, Mount Beauty or Myrtleford.
Certain steps must be followed when preparing the silage wrap for recycling.
