With almost 100 festivals and events on the Alpine High Country annual calendar, barely a weekend passes without something new to do.

| The Bright Autumn Festival is immensely popular and has been running for over 40 years. Visitors are attracted to the region for the spectacular colours of the deciduous trees and there are many activities such as open gardens, markets and music to keep folk coming back year after year.
The Kiewa Valley plays host to the annual Mount Beauty Music Muster each April, where world class musical acts perform in the venues around town.
The Alpine High Country is also home to many sporting events, such as the Audax Alpine Classic which attracts 2,000 cyclists in January; the Bogong Cup hang gliding competition in January; the Kangaroo Hoppett, a cross country ski race that attracts competitors from all over the world in August and the Bright 321 paragliding competition, also an international event, in February.
And a little left of centre, but a landmark on the Alpine High Country calendar is the Bright Rod Run, where over 1,000 classic hot rods grace the town with eager spectators looking on.
More events can be found on Victoria's Alpine High Country website.
