Alpine Shire Council has adopted a new management structure designed to improve efficiency and increase service provision.

Chief Executive - Officer Ian Nicholls
Chief Executive Officer Ian Nicholls oversees the day-to-day operation and long-term strategic vision of the organisation.

The management structure of Alpine Shire Council underwent a change in 2011 to provide better efficiencies and service provision for the community.

The key change was the introduction of a Director level of management to sit under the CEO and provide strategic direction to department managers.

 Ian Nicholls, Chief Executive Officer
 
Director Corporate and Community - Trevor Britten
As Director of Corporate and Community, Trevor Britten oversees four departments - Corporate Services, Governance, Community Services and Alpine@Home.

Corporate Services: Responsibilities include budgets, rates and information technology.

Community Services: Responsibilities include community engagement, resilience and recovery, sports centre and pool management and maternal and child health.

Governance: Responsibilities include corporate record keeping, compliance, customer service, reporting and procurement.

Alpine@Home: As Council's Home and Community Care Service, Alpine@Home is responsible for the provision of quality services to the community's aged and less mobile residents.

Director Infrastructure Services - Ian Ellett
As Director Infrastructure Services, Ian Ellet oversees the Project Delivery and Public Works and Services departments.

Project Delivery: Responsibilities include capital works, project planning, management and delivery and asset engineering.

Public Works and Services: Responsibilities include managing public spaces including parks, playgrounds and gardens, roads, grass mowing and leaf collection and asset management.

Director Sustainable Development - Heather Green
As Director for Sustainable Development, Heather Green oversees the Economic Development, Dinner Plain and Development Services and Amenity departments.

Economic Development: Responsibilities include tourism development and attraction, event management, tourism marketing and strategic project development.

Dinner Plain: Responsible for the operation, tourism promotion and management of Dinner Plain Alpine Village.

Development Services and Amenity: Responsibilities include environmental health, local laws and ranger services, statutory and strategic planning and building services.
