Councillors' Code of Conduct
Alpine Shire Council is committed to good governance and ethical behaviour as a key ingredient of responsible, effective and accountable local government.

To assist Councillors in understanding their role and in meeting legislated requirements, Council has revised its Councillors Code of Conduct.

The general purpose of the Code of Conduct is to assist Councillors in understanding how to act professionally and how to maintain the highest standards of conduct when executing the duties of Councillor.

Procurement Policy
This policy is made by Council in accordance with section 186A of the Local Government Act 1989 and must be reviewed on an annual basis.

The policy has been reviewed and was adopted at the Council meeting held on 2 November 2011.

The Procurement Policy sets out the principles for procurement and contracting activities to ensure a fair, transparent and accountable process of goods, services and works by Council.

Procurement Strategy
The Alpine Shire Council is committed to drive efficiencies in all its procurement practices while balancing effectiveness with social, environmental and economic objectives. The Procurement Strategy outlines how Council will manage and analyse its expenditure over the next four years.

The Strategy specifies the key strategic directions for Procurement and the tools and process to develop the procurement chain.

The development and adoption of the Procurement Strategy is linked to the Alpine Shire Council Plan.

The Strategy aims to provide responsible and continuance improvement through leadership and management of the whole procurement process.

Council adopted the Procurement Strategy on 1 March 2011.
